EdenFantasys Blog: Veined Double Bender

I was really looking forward to this dildo when I ordered it. Unfortunately when I ripped open this EdenFantasys box I was slightly annoyed by this toy before I even saw it. It reeked up the box with its rubbery smell. The smell that coated the box was NOTHING compared to when I took this double header out of his plastic incasing. I'm fairly certain those in the next county could smell this thing. I immediately washed it. It did nothing to curb the scent. I've had the dildo for a few weeks now and its been washed half a dozen times but still reeks.

New Apartment *fingers crossed*

I went and saw the CUTEST apartment today. It’s a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath, but one of the rooms could EASILY become a third bedroom and if I get it that’s what’s going to happen.

 

The kitchen is HUGE there’s TONS of storage (something NONE of my past apartments have had) plus a GARAGE with garage opener!

 

And best of all, IN MY BUDGET!

 

I’m practically dripping down my leg right now over this apartment I want it so much. I’ve got so many ideas on how to make it a home, because if we get this apartment we’re not going to leave for a VERY long time because its just going to be my little family. No roommates to contend with, that make us move or we want to move away from.

 

The only problem with the no roommates, is if we do get this place we’ll have almost NO furniture. But that can come in time. I’m so tired of not being able to be naked when I want, masturbate or cam when I want because of roommates. So keep your fingers crossed that we get into this little apartment.

In a previous blog I mentioned a study that stated that woman were less happy now that their expectations for life were higher. That got me thinking about gender roles. I was raised in a very progressive family. (My grandmother wore a white pant suit to her wedding.) Yet I was still taught that it was the womans role to cook, clean and care for the children having an outside job and wanting to be equal to a man didn't mean that you did less in the home (you were still the woman after all!), just that there were now higher expectations. Yet, according to Kim Iverson women are trying to change gender roles and some men don't know what their place is now that the way they were taught things should be are being drastically changed. Thus I started to wonder how gender roles play a large part on the effects of society.

In the 1950s the woman was expected to cook and clean whereas the man was supposed to be the breadwinner. Neither party was supposed to ask for help from the other. Anything outside of these strict places was looked down upon for either gender. If a man had to stay home with the children while the wife went to work, this would be seen as a negative circumstance. However, today, this is more accepted. This isn't to say that there still isn't a stereotypical "housewife", but it is nowhere near as common as it used to be. Actually quite the reverse! There is a series of stay-at-home dads and house-husbands cropping up everywhere.
